The timber
Standard 2.4 m-side timber list.
80 cm: 32 lengths · 60 cm: 24 lengths
Standard octagon: 8 sides of 2.4 m, about 5.8 m across, built 4 rows high for 80 cm walls or 3 rows high for 60 cm walls. Timber is about $950 for the standard 80 cm pit ($700 for 60 cm).

- Drill and bit to suit the supplied M8 hex bolts (coach screws; see the build guide for pilot holes)
- Socket and ratchet set
- 1200 mm level and 8 m tape
- Line-marking spray paint and a builders string line
