1. Prep the site
Choose a level area. Mark out the octagon. Prepare the surface — mulch, gravel or synthetic grass. The build guide includes a simple method for marking an octagon on the ground.

Product photos show the actual galvanised bracket. The finished school pit shown elsewhere on this site is an example only and was not built with our brackets.
Specifications
Published specifications for planning and purchasing. The build guide covers the drilling layout, assembly steps and tool list in full.
What's not included
The kit does not include timber, ground surfacing, tools or installation labour. That is the point: shipping only the brackets keeps the online purchase affordable and the delivery compact.
How it is made
The bracket is designed around the octagonal corner, formed to suit the sleeper layout and checked before it is packed into your kit.

Build overview
Choose a level area. Mark out the octagon. Prepare the surface — mulch, gravel or synthetic grass. The build guide includes a simple method for marking an octagon on the ground.
Drill the sleepers using the bracket hole pattern as a template. Bolt the brackets to each sleeper. Work your way around the octagon. The guide shows the drilling sequence and torque advice.
Check all bolts are tight. Add the rules sign if you have the School Kit. Get a ball and start playing. The pit is ready for recess.
School option
Add a weather-resistant rules sign, laminated staff reference sheet, spare hardware pack and a gaga ball to the standard bracket kit. Built for schools that want one order, one delivery, one less thing to organise.
