The smarter way to build a gaga pit
Build a proper octagonal gaga pit with Australian-made steel brackets, local timber and a clear plan. Everything you need to get from “we should” to “play starts Friday”.

Why this kit exists
We supply the engineered part of the build: all eight corner support brackets, associated galvanised hardware and a clear assembly guide. Add locally sourced timber and you have a complete octagonal pit build, without the freight and supplier lock-in of a bulky pre-built structure.
How it works
Most of the cost of a gaga pit is timber and freight. By shipping only the steel brackets and hardware — and letting you source the sleepers from Bunnings, Bowens or a local timber yard — the kit stays affordable, compact to ship, and simple to plan.
The standard kit is built around a regular octagon layout: 8 sides of 2.4 m, an 80 cm wall with standard 200 mm sleepers, and approximately 5.8 m across. A lower 60 cm wall option is also available at $499. The kit includes the engineered corner support system, hardware and build guidance; you source the timber and use basic tools locally.
What's in the box
Each kit is packed ready for an octagon pit: 8 galvanised steel brackets, full galvanised hardware with spares, a build guide and timber shopping lists for Bunnings and Bowens.
Made close to home
These are the real steps behind the bracket: a product designed around the octagonal corner, engineered for the sleeper layout and manufactured locally before it is checked and packed.

The kit
The starter kit: a bracket kit with everything you need except the timber.
Australian-made brackets
Australian-made steel brackets, full hardware pack, build guide and local timber shopping lists. For schools, OSHCs, camps, community groups and backyards.
For schools
The School Kit adds a weather-resistant rules sign, staff reference sheet, spare hardware pack and a gaga ball to the bracket kit. POs accepted. Formal PDF quotes within 1 business day.
Choose the wall height
Wall height changes how easy the pit is to enter and how the game feels. These are practical planning guides for schools and community spaces; your site, supervision plan and player group should guide the final choice.
A lower wall for younger players and junior primary campuses. The 60 cm wall uses 24 sleepers.
Our standard 80 cm wall for mixed-age play, older primary students and high-school use. It uses 32 sleepers.

FAQ
The standard pit is a regular octagon with 2.4 m sides — approximately 5.8 m across and 80 cm high. Need a different size? We can plan a custom parts list using 1.2 m, 1.8 m and 2.4 m sleeper lengths to suit your space. Allow at least 1.5 m of clear space around all sides for safe entry, exit and play.
The standard 80 cm wall kit is $549 inc. GST with free Australia-wide shipping. You will also need approximately 32 treated-pine sleepers from Bunnings or Bowens. If you choose the lower 60 cm wall kit, you need 24 sleepers and the kit price is $499. Timber pricing varies by supplier and local availability.
No. It is a bracket and hardware kit. Timber is bought locally to avoid bulky freight and to let you choose your preferred sleeper supplier.
Shipping timber around Australia is expensive. Local timber keeps the total project cost lower and gives schools more control over materials and supply.
Yes. Schools, OSHCs, camps and organisations can request a formal PDF quote with ABN, raise a PO, and pay by card or EFT through Stripe Invoicing. Standard payment terms are 30 days from invoice.
