Why it suits a school site.
The regular octagon is approximately 5.8 m across, with eight sides of 2.4 m. Allow about 1.5 m of clear space around it for entry, movement and supervision, giving a useful planning allowance of roughly 9 m by 9 m overall.
The pit can be planned on grass, mulch, compacted gravel or synthetic grass when the site is level, prepared and assessed for local requirements. It does not need a permanent foundation. The school remains responsible for site approval, installation checks and supervision under its own policies.

How long does the build take?
Allow most of a day for two people, including setting out, cutting, drilling, bolting and final checks.
What should the school check before use?
Check the site is level, leave the clear space, assess the surface, remove sharp edges and splinters, check all fixings and supervise in line with school policy. Inspect the timber and hardware periodically.
Is timber delivered with the kit?
No. Timber is not included. The quote and printed instructions identify the sleeper counts so the school can source them locally.
